The Indian Karigar | Partnership with Nanhi Yaara

Through our new blog series called the Indian Karigar - a colloquial name for Artisan in India - we want to highlight the partners we work with and provide further transparency to our wholesale and retail buyers about the women, artisans, and enterprises behind the Casa Amarosa products they are purchasing

The Partnership

Casa Amarosa partnered with a nonprofit Nanhi Yaara to develop its line of gorgeous velvet pillows. This Nonprofit’s goal is to educate, employ, and empower women in marginalized communities. By teaching the women sewing skills, the organization gives low-income women the chance to advance economically and take control of their lives and futures.

Artisan Highlight: Women Artisans in Ludhiana Punjab

Women artisans use smocking techniques and hand embroidery to develop our gorgeous velvet cushions.

Product highlight: Velvet Pillows

This round pillow is the perfect finishing touch with rich, saturated hues and a lustrous sheen brought out with the velvet fabric.

The gorgeous stitch detail completes the look
